Mitch has a
richly diverse background with over 25 years experience in leadership
and organization development.
A Registered
Organization Development Consultant, he is a full professor in the
Ph.D. Program in Leadership & Change at Antioch University,
Santa Barbara, California, with locations in Seattle, Santa Barbara,
Los Angeles, Yellow Springs (OH), and Keene (NH). He also is a distinguished
visiting professor at the University of Auckland (New Zealand),
Kyiv Mohyla Business School (Ukraine), and Henley Management College
(United Kingdom).
Previous to
his position at Antioch University, Mitch was a full professor for
17 years in the master’s and doctoral program in organization
development at the University of St. Thomas, Minneapolis. Before
entering academia, Mitch managed the leadership development area
at American Express Financial Advisors, and prior to that directed
organization development and employee relations for HealthPartners,
Inc. Previous to his work in corporations Mitch was a psychotherapist.
An alumnus of
Providence College where he received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology,
Mitch holds two Master's degrees-one in Psychiatric Social Work
from the University of Wisconsin, the other in Industrial Relations
from the University of Minnesota. He holds a Doctorate specializing
in Organization Development from the University of Minnesota.
In 1987 Mitch
received an international award from the International Society for
Performance Improvement as Outstanding Researcher of the Year.
In 1998 he
received the award for Minnesota Organization Development Practitioner
of the Year. |
